Rates
Rates: $100 per hour (with a one-hour minimum; after 1-hour, in 15-minute increments), plus a $25 convenience/travel fee. Additional fees may apply (up to $25 additional) during peak travel times and/or to certain areas. Detailed fee/convenience charges will be explained upon booking. You will never be charged without having fees explained in advance.Â
What you can expect
You can expect to have your anxiety and stress about having lice eliminated!Â

The process is simple and non-toxic. It involves thoroughly combing through the hair with lice oil (a combination of common oils used in your home every day) and a nitpicking comb. Hair needs to be completely detangled prior to the nitpicking process. (I am happy to help those clients who are not used to having their hair completely detangled; the process is done with patience and a gentle hand).Â

If anyone in your household has been diagnosed with lice, everyone in your household with hair should be checked; lice is highly transmissible and not everyone can 'feel' lice (the itchy response is an allergic reaction; if you don't have the allergy, you won't feel it, even if you have it.) Make sure your family members are available. The process takes time to be done correctly. Having it done at home means you can get things done while getting checked and/or treated! Need to be on a business call? No problem. Get your laundry done? Go right ahead! Feed those hungry kids? As long as you don't mind a little lice treatment going on in the meanwhile...Â

Hair with extensions or braids can neither be treated nor checked for lice.Â

If live lice or multiple nits are detected at your initial appointment, a follow-up appointment will be recommended to be certain that all nits have been thoroughly removed (they can be microscopic; one treatment is inadequate to properly eradicate any case of lice.) I offer a service guarantee with your follow-up treatment. The process for the follow-up is the same as the inial treatment, although follow-ups generally go a bit quicker.
